WHAT: General Membership Meeting

DINNER: 6:00 pm
COST: $20 per person
MENU: All You Can Eat Buffet

Thanks to Mercantile Bank for sponsoring our social hour at the January membership meeting. Also, thank you to Carpet Masters for having Todd Eaton with ISC present “Modular Counter Top Solutions”.

PASS THE HAT

We will “pass the hat” at our February 17th meeting. The money raised will be donated to the “Citizens for Children” campaign to renew and make permanent the upcoming operating levy (63¢ per $100 of valuation) and to promote the bond issue (to provide for the construction of new school facilities). Donations will be greatly appreciated, but are never mandatory.

BOWLING TOURNAMENT

Our bowling tournament is scheduled for Friday, February 27, at Belt Bowl. Tournament starts at 3:00 p.m. followed by social and awards at 5:30 p.m. Please get your team registration turned in before February 24 – we can only have 14 teams participate. Food/Beverage Sponsorships are available. Contact Belinda for more information.

BLOCK KIDS

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) are holding their annual Block Kids Competition Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Hillyard Technical School. The program is open to all elementary school children in grades 1-6. Registration begins at 12:30 with the competition beginning at 1:00. Judges and donations are needed to keep this event free for the participants. For more information, please contact Heidi Walker at (816) 901-0933.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT FOR MEETINGS

Please remember, you need to register for meetings by either e-mailing or calling me. Payments will be due at the meeting and only cash or check will be accepted as payment. Attendance at our meetings is important, so please plan to attend regularly. Also, make sure you have updated the mailing address and payment information to: Midland Empire HBA, PO Box 8278, St. Joseph, MO 64508.
