Thanks to all who attended the Christmas Party on December 19 – everyone seemed to have a great time. Thank you for donating wonderful items for the prize drawing. As a result of your generosity, we raised $340 cash and collected 106 pounds of assorted food items for the Second Harvest Food Bank! Also a big THANK YOU to the entertainment sponsors for the evening: Reece & Nichols Ide Capital Realty, Porter’s Building Centers, Mercantile Bank, CBIZ Insurance Services, and Diane Hook.

REGISTRATION & PAYMENT FOR MEETINGS

Please remember, you need to register for meetings by either e-mailing or calling me. Payments will be due at the meeting and only cash or check will be accepted as payment. Attendance at our meetings is important, so please plan to attend regularly. Also, make sure you have updated the mailing address and payment information to: Midland Empire HBA, PO Box 8278, St. Joseph, MO 64508.

BLOCK KIDS

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) are holding their annual Block Kids Competition Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Hillyard Technical School. The program is open to all elementary school children in grades 1-6. Registration begins at 12:30 with the competition beginning at 1:00. Judges and donations are needed to keep this event free for the participants. For more information, please contact Heidi Walker at (816) 901-0933.
