Thanks to Scott Gann for sponsoring our social hour at the February Membership Meeting! Also, Thank You to Melody Smith, Steve Huff and Ted Allison for presenting information on the campaign to renew and make permanent the upcoming operating levy (63˘ per $100 of valuation) and to promote the bond issue (to provide for the construction of new school facilities).
BUILD ENERGY EFFICIENT HOMES – GET REWARDED
Do you want to be rewarded for building energy efficient homes? KCP&L’s ENERGY STAR© New Homes program does just that. Builders who meet eligibility requirements will receive an $800 rebate for each ENERGY STAR home they build. KCP&L will also pay for third-party inspections up to $750. Installing energy-efficient technologies during new home construction distinguishes the homes you build by improving their performance and quality, and lowering homeowners’ energy bills. For additional program information, please go to www.kcpl.com and roll your mouse over the “Business” tab. Then click on “Builders/Contractors” and click on the “ENERGY STAR New Homes” link located on the left side of the screen. Natalie Klaas will also be speaking on this subject at our March 24 meeting, so plan to attend and learn more.
