OCTOBER PROGRAM
Please note our membership meeting is on THURSDAY, October 30, due to the schedule of our special guest speaker Steve Easley, President of Easley & Associates. Mr. Easley will be present “Cost Effective Green Building”. This educational meeting would be a great one to bring a guest and/or potential new member to. HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WORK DAY
We are seeking volunteers from the Midland Empire HBA to help with the Habitat for Humanity new home project located at 2020 Charles (20th & Charles). We need builder members for a morning and/or an afternoon crew to frame the house, sheet the roof, etc. We also need non-builder members to assist them in getting supplies, cleaning up, etc. Please contact Belinda ASAP if you are able to help with this project or need further information.
CLAY SHOOT HIGHLIGHTS
We had 11 shooters participate in our clay shoot on September 23. Prizes were awarded for the most clays hit. The winners were: 1st Place – Spike Caton who won a cordless nail gun donated by Porter’s Building Center; 2nd Place – Don Clark who won $60 cash donated by OE Woods Lumber; 3rd Place – Chad Fulton who won a $25 gift certificate to Galvin’s donated by Eagle Radio. An additional 13 attended for the cookout and as spectators. Everyone enjoyed a beautiful evening at Pederson’s farm. Thanks to Jim and Joann Pederson for being gracious hosts for this event. Also, thanks to Brian Weets, Jim Hoover and Scott Dougherty for providing and cooking the food. We plan to have another clay shoot next year and encourage all to attend for a great night of socializing!
GOLF TOURNAMENT HIGHLIGHTS
We had 15 teams participate in our golf tournament October 3 at Fairview Golf Course. First Place Team Championship Flight – CBIZ Insurance Services Team with Heidi Walker, Chris Weddle, Alex McClain and Renee Hurd. First Place Team “A” Flight – Evans Construction #1 Team with Greg Heath, Ed Burton, Keith Gerling and Steve Keesler. Contest Prize Winners: Women’s Longest Drive – Diane Hook; Men’s Longest Drive – Aaron Lisenbeee; Women’s Longest Putt – Heidi Walker; Men’s Longest Putt – David Ingle; Women’s Closet to the Pin – Renee Hurd; Men’s Closest to the Pin – Tim Minson. The tournament was a huge success thanks in part to the sponsorship provided by the following:
